Adam Cohen (born September 18, 1972) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and the son of renowned musician Leonard Cohen. He has released multiple albums in both English and French and is known for his solo work as well as his involvement with the band Low Millions.

Early Life and Education

Adam Cohen was born in Montreal, Quebec, to Leonard Cohen and artist Suzanne Elrod. He grew up in a bilingual environment, fluent in both English and French. Cohen spent his early years in Montreal and the Greek island of Hydra, later moving to the United States. He attended Syracuse University in New York but left before completing his degree to pursue a career in music.

Musical Career

Cohen's debut self-titled album was released in 1998 under Columbia Records. Despite critical acclaim, it did not achieve significant commercial success. In 2004, he formed the band Low Millions, which released the album Ex-Girlfriends. The band's single "Eleanor" received considerable radio play.

In 2011, Cohen released Like a Man, an album that marked a return to his acoustic roots and drew comparisons to his father's musical style. His 2014 album, We Go Home, was recorded in his family homes in Montreal and Hydra, reflecting a deeply personal approach to songwriting.

Personal Life

Adam Cohen has a son, Cassius, born in 2011. He has been candid about the influence of his father on his music and life, often reflecting on their relationship in interviews and his work.
