Nurul Haque Nur

Early Life and Education

Nurul Haque Nur was born in 1991 in Char Biswas, Galachipa Upazila, Patuakhali District, Bangladesh. He grew up in a modest family and attended local schools before enrolling at Dhaka University, where he pursued a degree in English.[2]

Nur became a household name during the 2018 student protests demanding reforms in the government quota system for public sector jobs. As a key leader of the Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad, he played an instrumental role in organizing peaceful protests and negotiating with authorities to address student concerns.[3]

In 2019, Nurul Haque Nur contested and won the election for Vice-President of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU), defeating candidates from established political parties.
