Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Bengali: শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান, Sheikh Mujibur Rôhman; 17 March 1920 – 15 August 1975) was a Bangladeshi politician, statesman, and the founding leader of Bangladesh. Known as the Father of the Nation, he played a pivotal role in the country's liberation from Pakistan and its subsequent independence.
